How is the upcoming Ontario Election (and itsoutcomes) going to affect your organization…and what are your plans to protect your interests? The months leading up to the provincial elections and the campaign periods themselves are times of great uncertainty. As the parties develop their election platforms, are your issues going to be brushed aside because the parties don’t see them as "hot button" issues?

Are they incorporating policies that may harm your interests? If so, how can you deal with that? And most important of all–what is the next government going to be like? These are some of the questions we’ll tackle together at the pre–election government relations trainings.

Since there are two possible outcomes for the next Ontario election, Leonard Domino & Associates will be offering two trainings.

On September 11th, in a half–day training, we’ll be developing strategies assuming a Tory re–election. On September 18th, we’ll strategize around a Liberal victory in the next election.

At the Tory training, we’ll talk about these questions with a panel of Conservative party insiders. These are people who are well positioned to help you anticipate the ways a re–elected Ernie Eves government will differ from the current administration.

At the Liberal training, the Liberal party insiders will help you understand the kind of culture and approach you can anticipate if the Liberals are elected.

September 18, 2003:

At both trainings we want you to focus on the real issues.

We’ve always believed that an ounce of government relations prevention can eliminate a pound of emergency government lobbying. Therefore, we advise our clients to have a clear idea of the objectives that they hope to achieve in their dealings with the government, and the risks they hope to manage as they work to influence public policy.
