Understanding the McGuinty Government Pre-Budget Conference

  • 2004-03-26
  • University Club of Toronto

A unique opportunity to build your ability to work with Ontario ’s new government…

Now’s the time to build your understanding of Ontario’s new government. This is a critical time in the evolution of the new Liberal Government – and of the working relationships that enterprises and organizations across Ontario will forge with the McGuinty Team.

The cabinet posts, cabinet committees and committees of the Legislature have all been set. The Speech from the throne laid out the main directions the new government will be pursing. And now the budget process – the single most important process in government – is underway.

The budget process is where the “rubber hits the road” – where the hard resource allocation choices are made, where the government’s priorities become concrete and where the unique character of this particular government comes clear.

And budget time is also the time for enterprises and organization to begin to move beyond old government relations strategies – developed to deal with Ontario ’s former government – to develop new ways of working with Ontario ’s new government.

Leonard Domino & Associates has developed this one-day conference to provide a unique glimpse inside the new government’s budget thinking.

You’ll need new strategies to deal with the new government and its new priorities and values, whether your concerns are primarily about funding, about regulation, about scope of practice or any other aspect of government policy.
