The campaign period is a time of great uncertainty. You may be asking yourself, “How is the upcoming Ontario Election (and its outcomes) going to affect our organization…and what are our plans to protect our interests?” Are the political parties incorporating policies that may harm your interests? If so, how can you deal with that? And most important of all, Liberal, NDP or Progressive Conservative, what is the next government going to be like? These are some of the questions we’ll tackle together at “Election 2007.”
At the seminar, we’ll talk about these questions with a panel of political insiders. These are people who are well positioned to help you understand the kind of culture and approach you can anticipate in Dalton McGuinty’s second term. The seminar will help you anticipate ways an elected John Tory government will differ from the current administration.
The people who understand the values and objectives of elected officials have the best chance of developing government relations strategies that work.
That basic insight is the foundation of the Leonard Domino approach – and it works: quite simply, the Leonard Domino approach to government relations gives you the best possible chance of achieving your negotiating goals when you’re dealing with government.
Look at this seminar as the first step in preparing for your post-election government relations strategies.
Benefits to Attending “Election 2007” Seminar:
• Identify what you can do to increase your chances of successful negotiations over the next six months
• Identify what to do if the government isn’t willing to negotiate
• Provide yourself with post-election strategies for starting up stalled negotiations
• Identify opportunities to raise the profile of your organization or issues among political parties
• Re-focus your government negotiation priorities to take advantage of the government’s changing needs
• Discuss network and exchange ideas not only with presenters, but with other government relations professionals
• Learn how to make decisions without supporting or alienating political parties
This is one of those events that is especially valuable for your Board Members and Senior Managers.
Your Board and senior managers will have to make the high-level decisions about your approaches to government after the election. This seminar will help give them the background information to make sure their decisions are the right ones.
What People Are Saying:
"Politicians and business people speak totally different languages. Leonard Domino & Associates are experts in translating the mysteries of politics in a clear, understandable way. Attempting to negotiate with government without Leonard Domino & Associates on your side is like propelling a canoe without a paddle! Let's just say that I wouldn't try it."
---Iain Grant, The Seaboard Group
"I have attended three of Leonard's sessions in recent years. Leonard balances the hard-hitting approach sometimes necessary to get the attention of politicians and ministry staff with a genuine respect for the individuals involved. His expertise in the political arena combined with his valuable source of contacts provides a wealth of information, strategies and techniques for associations, organizations and individuals who need to communicate with government."
---Paul O'Krafka, St. Joseph's Villa (Dundas)
